BARNT GREEN SPARTAK 'KEEPER RAGGY ALI WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 1-3 LOSS TO ALVIS...

RAGGY ALI, A REALLY NICE GUY, WHOM THE BODGING WAS KEEN TO MEET.
THANKS FOR TAKING TIME OUT TO WRITE YOUR THOUGHTS, RAGGY...

"Our team, Barnt Green, didn't have a full squad available, most of the senior players were out and we were coming up against a good Alvis side, who have been on an unbeaten run and were going for the league title.

To be honest, we started off not as good as we'd hoped and a few mistakes cost us in the first-half but we got ourself a goal with a great team effort and the slotted finish by Nuk was brilliant.

We went in to the changing-room and evaluated where we were going wrong and we came out for the second-half on a high and kept pressing as a team, especially our skipper Malcs who caused them a lot of problems.

I'm surprised we didn't come back and turn it around, for Bonar had a couple of chances and tested the 'keeper with a stinger but was unfortunate he didn't score. My defence was brilliant also and I didn't have much to do, just a save here and there but we're going in to the next game on a high now.

I think we did GJ, our manager, proud in the game; we didn't just fold over because Alvis were top of the table.

Thanks to Pete Ray for taking his time out to record and take photos. I really appreciate it mate and I hope to see you next time..."
