"A standard 2-0 win today took us within 4 points, mathematically, from winning the league but with such a big Goal Difference in our favour, you have to imagine we'd only need 3 points.
I liked Bolehall today, everything from the management/staff to their players because they seemed like a genuine team that put up a genuine challenge. A lot of teams have come to us to kick lumps out of us, or play what I feel personally is a negative style of football. Bolehall didn't have this feeling at all, and I think the management conducted themselves professionally both during and after the game, which is refreshing in this division!
Coxy seems amused when he scores and asks how many goals that puts him on for the season and I get it right. That happened again today after an amazing bang from the edge of the box at a dodgy angle gave us a 2-0 cushion following Tommy Glasscoe (that guy with the hair) giving us the lead.
This memory trick of how many goals Coxy scores in a season is something I've been able to do for a good few years. Basically, you take the amount of goals he was on before that one and add 1... Next Derren Brown, me!
All joking aside, today was another solid performance and we're at the stage now where we're not interested in doing anything flashy, we want the 3 points, regardless of how they come.
Bring on Tuesday!"
