BRINKLOW FC MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES WRITES ABOUT THE 0-3 DEFEAT TO JET BLADES...

Jet Blades got the game underway and almost scored within seconds with their very first attack. Their forward found himself through on goal but with only Daniel Mallinson to beat, shot over.
We had our best opportunity on 10 minutes when a cross from Hosein Khorami found Matty Brown unmarked, but he headed over.
In the 31st minute Lloyd Pulford had a shot cleared off the line and on 42 minutes Daniel Mallinson had to tip over a long-range shot for a corner.
Half-time: 0-0

The 2nd half saw us have a couple of long range shots that never troubled the Jet Blades goalkeeper. In the 58th minute Danny McDonald was forced off through injury and he was replaced by Connor Tallett.
Our best opportunity in the 2nd half came soon afterwards in the 60th minute when a Lloyd Pulford cross was headed over by Macca Richards.
With both sides going for the win it was Jet Blades with a lovely bit of skill and a calm finish who took the lead in the 75th minute: 0-1.
We were caught on the break for Jet Blades' 2nd goal in the 79th minute and we were 0-2 behind.
And on 82 minutes, another great piece of skill and another calm finish by Blades led to us being 0-3 down and defeated.

In summing up this game:
Firstly I have to say that I am disappointed that we didn't progress into the next round of this cup competition. However this was a great cup game to be involved in and up until the 1st goal it would have taken a brave person to predict the outcome of this game. Both sides were evenly matched and the game itself was played in a great spirit.
Jet Blades finished the game the stronger of the two sides on the day and deserved their victory.
I would like to wish them all the best for the remainder of this competition.
As for me, I will remind the lads what we have been doing correctly over the last few games and now it's all about trying to improve on our league position.

On a separate note I would like to thank Matty Brown for helping me out for a few games and I wish him and his family all the best in the next chapter of their lives at Chelsea FC.

On to the next game...
