'MOUSEHOLE FORETELLS CHRISTMAS': A POEM ABOUT MOUSEHOLE...

Mousehole Foretells Christmas…

Mousehole’s harbour lights,
Wracked by winds
And doused by fine Cornish rains,
Traditionally herald the approach of Christmas:
A sight of sights
To laud the coming
Of the King of kings…

Cormorant’s harbour jurisdiction,
Rapped by rains
And roused by warm Mousehole winds,
Improbably lauded the approach of Christmas:
A crucifixion of crucifixions
To herald the coming
With its Wings of wings…

The famous Mousehole lights herald Christmas in a beautiful village but one Cormorant’s demonstration in the harbour heralded its own message…
