COVENTRY UNITED'S JOSH O'GRADY REVIEWS THE DEFEAT @ BROMSGROVE:

"Going into the game there was a lot of hype about this being a title decider but for us it was just another game and whatever the result there would still be all to play for in the remainder of the season. 

I actually thought we started the game brighter, controlling the tempo without creating any clear cut chances. Bromsgrove, as expected, played back to front very quickly with two very good strikers causing us a few problems and in a sloppy ten minutes for us they scored 3 goals with their first 3 attempts. 

We were a bit shell-shocked and Bromsgrove could have gone further ahead before the break with a few missed opportunities. 

At half-time we regrouped in the dressing room and came out fighting, getting back into the game through an excellent finish from Ross Briscoe. We looked on top at this point and the next goal was always going to be crucial; unfortunately the second ball from a Bromsgrove set-piece found their man unmarked and he duly volleyed home to put the game to bed. 

We got a consolation goal via a Coxy penalty but the damage was done in the first half. Bromsgrove deserved the victory on the day and we have no complaints as we did not play at our best. 

Luckily for us the league is still in our hands and we know we are more than capable of going on a run of victories that will put us back on top."

"This game was billed as the top 2 sides in the division going head to head but in truth only 1 side turned up.


After a fairly even start Bromsgrove got a grip on the game and never looked like losing after taking a 3-0 lead before half-time.


We pulled a goal back from Ross Briscoe but soon conceded again, before Chris Cox  scored a late penalty to give us a flattering scoreline. In summing up this game, it will go down as one of my lowest points as Coventry United manager.


We lost to a very good side who have the same hopes and dreams as we do. Bromsgrove showed up every weakness we had on the day and from my view we never showed what we have been doing correctly all season.


Another disappointment for me was for the 1st time I felt we let down the Red and Green Army who had travelled in numbers to support us. I have always said it is One Game At A Time and again nothing has changed.


There is still a lot of football to be played and points up for grabs before any trophy is handed out but I now move my thoughts to our next game vs Studley.


There are no easy games at this level but it's time for us to get back to winning ways."
