WESTFIELDS' DEFENDER & GOALSCORER PHIL GLOVER COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 0-2 VICTORY @ HIGHGATE...

PHIL GLOVER'S GOAL IS CELEBRATED (ABOVE) BUT BELOW, HE GIVES HIS THOUGHTS ON A FINE 0-2 WIN @ HIGHGATE:

"Highgate is a tough place to go, always has been. The pitch was as good as we have ever seen it, however.

Highgate are a good side and we had to soak up a lot of pressure 1st half because they were knocking the ball around nicely and switching play, which resulted in a few half-chances.

We had our joy on the break but were guilty of not being clinical enough at times. On a personal level it was nice to get our goal and the lads will be sick of me banging on about that one, haha...

2nd half they had a lot of the ball but I thought we were set up really well defensively all over the pitch and we were hard for Highgate to break down. When we won the ball back our attacking players used it very well and created a fair few half-chances for ourselves.

1-0 is always a tough scoreline, as a simple mistake can peg you back level, so the 2nd goal was important and sealed in my opinion a well deserved 3 points.

Clean sheets are always welcome and hopefully we can follow that up again on Saturday..."
