WADEBRIDGE TOWN 'KEEPER DAN PETERS COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 5-1 DEFEAT @ ST DENNIS...

WADEBRIDGE TOWN GOALKEEPER DAN PETERS WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 5-1 DEFEAT AT ST DENNIS...

"We started well and I think that surprised St Dennis after the last time we played them. We pressed the ball well and achieved a well deserved lead.

St Dennis grew as the game wore on and scored a well deserved equaliser through a slight deflection. With us fielding such a young team, our concentration for 90 minutes might not be the best and we fell asleep 2 minutes from half-time, which led to us going in at the break a goal behind.

We started the second-half like we had the first and managed to get on top but unfortunately, Muzzy (David Rickard) got injured and the game was delayed by over 75 minutes.

Personally I wish Dave all the best with his recovery, as we get on very well.

After the game restarted, we never really got into 2nd gear and in the end, St Dennis had a well deserved victory.

I feel however that if the game hadn't been delayed by such an awful injury, the match wouldn't have been quite so one-sided as it seemed.

We are a young team and are improving every week but we have a lot of positives to take from this game..."
