"Another really good win for us yesterday in some awful conditions. The pitch wasn't the greatest and the wind and rain were taking their toll, making it difficult but we went about the game in the right way.
The Gaffa said beforehand that it wasn't a game for getting the ball down and trying to play it on the deck and if we did try and play like that, to do it in Littleton's half & in the final 3rd.
That way, we wouldn't get caught out and we should play percentage balls over the full-backs up to Shorty (Luke Shorthouse), who won everything in the air as usual, & Naughts (Alex Naughton), who's class at holding up the ball up for us.
It was good to see Belch come off the bench and score a worldie as well with his 1st touch, as I'd heard he hadn't played properly for a couple of years because of injury. This was the 1st time I'd seen him play.
Naughts scored a worldie volley over the keeper from like 30 yards out too, which killed Littleton off completely, I think but another 3 points put us top of the league and we now move on to Bank Holiday Monday against Leicester Road, another massive game for us at the Pingles, which we have to win..."

"It was a horrible game and poorly officiated. The wind was very strong and the pitch was terrible.
We always looked the stronger team though and that showed with lots of good deliveries into the box and the first two goals stemming from them.
In the second-half, with the wind picking up even more and the rain and hail coming down, we took off from where we had left off and a wind-assisted kick by 'keeper George Woodward found its way to Alex Naughton, who smashed in a volley from about 30 yards.
Littleton came back into the game and the wind really moved the ball for their goal but then Sam Belcher lobbed the 'keeper with his first touch of the game to kill it.
We didn't look like conceding, other than a half-chance, which they took. With results going our way in other games, it's looking good for us but none of those results mean anything if don't now go and win on Monday.
Very surprised about the news from Coventry United (the sacking of manager Edwin Greaves) because I really didn't see that coming. We won't let that affect us however and move on to tomorrow's game and then our semi-final on Wednesday..."
