THE MOWDOG COMMENTS…

Midlands’ Messi? That’s unique… I look forward to watching more of the same…

Copsewood… Connoll is one of the very few people who can spell that word. Most people call the club Copeswood… Why does that annoy me?

Liverpool fan… Good. At least Connoll doesn't fall into the ‘ManU’ trap…

Favourite all-time and current players Ronaldinho and Messi were great Barca mates, Messi learned a lot from his Brazilian mentor but when Ronaldinho began to miss more and more training sessions, put on weight and eat and drink too much, the young Messi was carefully weaned away from the grinning older guy, who was subsequently released…

Robin… Great bird, great singer, but mostly it guards its territory with real zeal. Reminds me of Christmas too…

Tiger… Well, when Connoll returns to Copsewood to play for United, he might need the tiger for protection. Actually, maybe the frowning Ross Briscoe would do a better job. Ross is a mean predator but also a scavenger, often laughing like a hyena…

The Hyena...

Upset I couldn’t get to that Cup Final last season, I was at least pleased to notice that Connoll had been successful.
He was a phenomenon last term, except for that rainy night at Lichfield, where he was hardly involved and got his hair wet…

Holland beating England was disappointing? I thought it was only right. Had England been successful, we would all have been bombarded with how wonderful the lacking-in-skill England team was… (Sorry, Marcus Green…)

I noticed him playing against Bromsgrove a couple of times some time back and he was always dangerous; so much so that I mentioned his name a few times around The Cage…

Pleased he’s now a Cageman…

Cheers, Messi…
