WORDS UNSPOKEN: A POEM ABOUT A SASHA HARDING PICTURE...

Words Unspoken…
(from Sasha Harding’s fine picture)

Those fluffy clouds could be blank thought bubbles
For the fisherman’s pooch and a curious dolphin,
As the bearded sea-dog feeds the black-backed gulls;
“Er, what about my treats, skipper?” the canine companion might enquire
With a stare, an envious glare and a hunger dire,
Whilst the dolphin’s sonar translates loosely
As: “Any chance of a pilchard or two, my good chap?”
But still the veteran drops scraps from the port side of the hull,
Quite unperturbed, whiling away his troubles,
Favouring the seabirds, rather obtusely…

Just seemed like there might be conversations about to take place…

The dolphin and the dog might just be feeling a little peeved…

Made me smile.
